Action movie stars are often too cocky with inflated egos and are all talk with no real action. It is time for them to back it up.
Steven Seagal- Of all the people in this list, Steven Seagal has come across as the cockiest. But Nate “The Rock” Quarry is absolutely right. Seagal has ridden the aikido thing for too long now. Without a doubt, Quarry would destroy Seagal and there won’t be a take two.
Mr. T- Mr. T has acted all tough and has always blurred the boundaries between his character and real life. With Quinton “Rampage” Jackson going to play Mr. T’s character in the remake of A- Team, it would definitely set up a grudge match that can only end badly for Mr. T.
Sylvester Stallone- Rocky is the ultimate underdog and has become an American symbol of perseverance. But there have been way too many Rocky movies. Let’s see if he can match up with another great Russian fighter, Fedor Emelianenko. I don’t think all the training in the world can prepare Rocky for Fedor.
Vin Diesel- Vin Diesel is a big fake and he isn’t a good actor either. The only way to deal with naysayers like me once and for all is to get in the ring with someone like, Bas Rutten who is notorious for his liver shots which hurt like hell.
Wesley Snipes- According to his Wikipedia page, Snipes has been studying martial arts since 12 and knows Shotokan Karate, Capoeira and kung fu. I got to see that in action with the karate master, Lyoto Machida who would systematically destroy him.
Jean-Claude Van Damme- Van Damme hasn’t made a good movie since Bloodsport and even that is debatable. He is supposedly an expert at a variety of fighting styles including kung fu, Jeet Kune Do and Muay Thai. With that variety I think he’ll match up well with Anderson Silva, at least in Silva’s perspective.
Arnold Schwarzenegger- Who in their right mind voted for this guy? If Arnold is really serious about exploring all options to raise money for the bankrupt state, why doesn’t he consider a fight with Brock Lesnar? I’ll pay to watch that and I’m sure many will too.
They probably will never happen but I can dream and dreams sometimes do come true as Dolph Lundgren (best known for being the Russian boxer in Rocky) did fight UFC veteran Oleg Taktarov in a real boxing match once. If you have to ask, yes Lundgren lost.
